1. About us

Amara Desserts & Kulfis ("Amara", "we", "us") is a brand of Mikacha Bakshanam Ventures Private Limited, a company incorporated in India, with its registered address at WorkFlo Ranka Junction, No. 224, 3rd Floor, #80/3, Vijinapur Village, Old Madras Road, KR Puram, Bengaluru - 560016, Karnataka, India. GSTIN: 29AASCM7654B1Z0.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or place orders under the supervision of a parent or guardian, and be capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law.

3. Products, descriptions and images

Our desserts are handmade in small batches. We try to describe and photograph every product accurately, but actual colour, shape, size, decoration and packaging may vary slightly from images. Such natural variations are not considered defects.

4. Allergens and ingredients

Our products are made in kitchens that handle milk and dairy, nuts (including cashew, almond and pistachio), gluten/wheat, sesame, soy and other allergens. Even where an item does not list a particular allergen, we cannot guarantee it is free from traces.

If you have a food allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement, please read product information carefully and contact us before ordering. Customers are responsible for checking suitability before consumption.

5. Perishable food

All products are perishable. Please store them as instructed on the pack (kulfis and frozen desserts in a freezer) and consume them within the recommended time. We are not responsible for quality issues caused by improper storage or handling after delivery.

6. Availability

Products are subject to availability and may be seasonal. We may limit quantities, discontinue products or change recipes at any time. If an ordered item becomes unavailable, we will contact you to offer a substitute or refund the amount for that item.

7. Pricing and taxes

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable GST unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time; the price applicable to your order is the price shown at the time you place it. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

8. Payment

Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its authorised payment partners using UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking or other methods shown at checkout. We do not store your card details.

9. Order acceptance and cancellation

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when we send an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if the delivery address is not serviceable, a product is unavailable, or we suspect fraud; in such cases any amount paid is refunded in full.

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Delivery and accurate information

Delivery is governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy. You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address, pin code and reachable phone number, and for ensuring someone is available to receive the order.

11. Use of the website

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or submit false orders or information. Where you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.

12. Intellectual property

The Amara name, logo, recipes, photographs, text and design of this website are owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, reproduced or used without our written permission.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for the affected products. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for issues arising from improper storage after delivery, failure to check allergen information, or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.

14. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update our products, prices, these terms and our policies from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your order applies to that order.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights as a consumer, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

17. Grievances and customer support

For any questions, complaints or grievances, please contact us. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
